founder bio

Rachelle Eason spent much of her adult life preparing for a career in law while simultaneously building her family. After dropping out of high school at 17 to have her first daughter, she obtained a GED and began college at Pierce College. During her sophomore year, she took two quarters off to have her son. She completed an Associates in Arts and Science and an Associates in Criminal Justice, graduating with honors. At this point, Rachelle considered a career as a paralegal thinking that as a single mother of two, the path to law school would be too long and too difficult.

From there, Rachelle went to the Evergreen State College where she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Communications and Social Change. TESC does not offer grades, rather, they have an evaluation system. Rachelle enjoyed her time there and graduated with excellent evaluations and was commencement speaker. Something happened here that pushed Rachelle into law school with a vengeance. Rachelle had been wondering whether to go ahead a pursue law school or wait a few years. One day, a Professor at TESC told her that law school would be "too hard as a single mother of two young children, [and] you'll never make it." It was at that point Rachelle decided that she'd have to prove people with that attitude wrong.

At 22, Rachelle began her law school career at Seattle University School of Law. During her third year, Rachelle gave birth to her third child, a daughter, just a few weeks before finals. After graduation, Rachelle took time to study for the Bar and received her passing results around the same time she and her husband learned they would be having twin boys!

Currently, Rachelle is in the process of opening a solo practice. She lives in Skagit County, Washington with her husband and 5 children. She plans to return to school in the near future to take the credits she needs to be eligible to sit for the Patent Bar.

She has many interests including mentoring teen parents through her website: The Teen Parenting Community. She also maintains a web development company, Canonical Designs.
